Which cat test fits your main question?

Start with the outcome you need. A single-condition DNA test, allergy panel, intolerance report, microbiome test, or broader genetic report answers a different type of question.

How testing works

A simple process with product-specific collection

Collection is not identical across all products. Review the sample requirement before ordering, especially for blood-based allergy tests.

1

Choose the right test

Match the product to your main goal: genetic health, allergy, intolerance, biological age, microbiome, or broader DNA insight.

2

Collect the required sample

Follow the instructions supplied for your product. Allergy panels require blood, the microbiome test uses stool, and DNA products use the eligible sample stated in the kit.

3

Receive the report

Laboratory processing begins after an eligible sample is received. Results and timing vary by product.

Important: These tests provide genetic, allergy-screening, intolerance, microbiome, or wellness information depending on the product selected. They do not replace a veterinary examination, diagnosis, treatment plan, or emergency care. Discuss symptoms and health-related findings with a licensed veterinarian.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before choosing a cat test

Review the main differences before placing your order.

Are all nine products cat DNA tests?

No. PKD, CatCheck, and KnowYourCat are DNA-focused products. The allergy panels are blood-based IgE tests, the gut microbiome test uses stool, and the intolerance and biological-age products follow their own supplied collection instructions.

What is the difference between the allergy and intolerance tests?

The allergy products are blood-based IgE panels. The Cat Intolerance Test is a separate informational screening product for potential food and non-food sensitivity patterns. They are not interchangeable.

Which allergy panel should I choose?

Choose Panel I or Panel II when the relevant allergen list matches your needs. Choose the Full Panel 125 when you want the broadest available IgE screening. Review the panel details and speak with your veterinarian when symptoms are present.

When does the stated turnaround begin?

Turnaround begins after the laboratory receives an eligible sample. Delivery to you, return shipping, weekends, holidays, laboratory workload, and recollection are not included.

Do these tests diagnose illness?

No. Results may provide useful genetic, allergy-screening, intolerance, microbiome, or wellness information, but they do not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
